Contest rules, please read:
You must be a rider or spin class participant who has paid the $35 registration fee and raised at least $100 to be eligible to win the prizes. In case of unforeseen circumstances, you do not need to finish the ride or take part in the spin class to be eligible. All officers of the Sue de Vries Cancer Foundation board, sponsors and their families are not eligible to participate in the bike giveaway. Your pledge sheets are proof of fundraising, but you must turn in all money and pledge sheets by 6 p.m., June 4, 2011 to qualify for the bike. Judges tally of pledge sheets and money shall be final. In case of a tie, an auction will be held in which participants my bid in $10 increments until a winner is chosen. Winner will have 24 hours to come up with payment for the prize. If winner cannot come up with said amount, the prize shall go to the second place finisher, who also must come up with their final bid price within one day of being notified. If there are more than two, the same procedure applies. Prize is an new entry-level Trek road bike, value to be determined, furnished by a local bicycle shop chosen by the Sue de Vries Cancer Foundation Inc. and ride organizers. Bike shop reserves the right to make substitutions in case model does not fit the needs of the winner or, because of size or other considerations, model is out of stock or unavailable from the manufacturer. Winner may use the value of the bike prize toward a model of his or her choosing, subject to the agreement of the bike shop owner. By taking part in the contest, you agree the Sue de Vries Cancer Foundation, its officers, assigns, sponsors, agents, volunteers, organizers, successors and others involved with ride and prizes, include bike shop owner and its employees, are not liable in any way as a result of the awarding of the bike. All proceeds from the fundraising benefit a nonprofit in its mission to provide wellness programs.
